Unrefrigerated laboratory centrifuges have microprocessor control and digital display of speed and time, choice of display of r.p.m. or r.c.f., quick pulse button and choice of fast or slow acceleration / deceleration.

Z233 M-2

The Hermel Z 233 series microcentrifuges have been designed to provide total control over operating parameters. A microprocessor, brushless induction drive, high speed capabilities and powerful refrigeration (Z 233 MK-2 only) make the Z 233 series the ultimate in high performance

Operating parameters, including speed/g-force, run time and temperature (MK-2 only) are set using easy to turn knobs while their values are shown on large digital displays. Both rpm and g-force can be displayed during a run. Acceleration and deceleration rates can be set at fast or slow. Momentary spins are achieved by pressing the quick button. The powerful refrigeration system in the Z 233 MK-2 cools the chamber and rotor quickly and maintains the set temperature throughout the run, even at maximum speed.

A rugged housing, heavy duty lid lock and hinge as well as a stainless steel bowl make the Z 233 series microcentrifuges durable workhorses. Seven rotor options are available.

Z300

The Hermle Z 300 and Z 300 K are the most economical of the universal microprocessor controlled units in the Hermle line. These centrifuges accommodate microplates and tubes up to 100 ml in swing-out and fixed angle rotors. A broad speed range and high g-force make them ideal for applications from clinical to molecular biology.

A digital microprocessor controls all operating parameters including speed and time. Overspeed conditions are eliminated by the rotor recognition program which automatically identifies each rotor and limits it to the maximum rated speed. Improperly loaded rotors trigger the safety imbalance detection system which stops operation of the centrifuge.

The powerful, induction drive in the Z 300 centrifuges quickly accelerates rotors to the preset speed. Two acceleration and deceleration rates can be chosen to protect fragile samples. Operation of the centrifuge may be timed, continuous or momentary

Ambient air circulates throughout the chamber of the Z 300 preventing significant rises in sample temperature. The refrigeration system in the Z 300 K maintains all rotors at the set temperature regardless of rotor speed.

Z323

These high performance Hermle centrifuges accept all of the same rotors as the Z 300 series, plus high speed rotors capable of producing up to 26,810 x g. Higher speed and g-force expand the use of these centrifuges to a range of applications in areas such as molecular biology and basic research.

A powerful microprocessor controls operation. Parameters are set using easy turn knobs while their values are shown on large digital displays. Speed can be set and displayed in rpm or rcf. Proper calculation of g-force with different sized tubes and adapters is ensured by a radius correction feature. Braking intensity can be set to ten different levels. Run parameters, including rotor type, are saved to the 10 program memory. Repetitive runs are achieved by simply pressing the start button. A maintenance-free induction drive provides quiet operation and quick acceleration and deceleration.

A continuous flow of air through the chamber of the Z 323 keeps sample temperature from rising significantly above ambient. The powerful refrigeration system in the Z 323 K can cool all rotors below 0°C, even at maximum speed. At the touch of a button, the chamber and rotor are precooled to the appropriate temperature.

Safety features incorporated into the Z 323 series include automatic rotor recognition/overspeed protection, imbalance sensors and self diagnostics.

Z400

Hermle Multiple swing-out and angle rotor options make the Z 400 series centrifuges useful for a wide range of applications from molecular and cellular biology to microplate technology and blood separations.

The microprocessor based controls are designed for quick and easy programming. Parameters are set with knobs while their values are shown on large digital displays. To prevent accidental change, the knobs are inactivated during a run unless the preset key is depressed.

Both the Z 400 and Z 400 K feature maintenance-free, induction drives for exceptionally quiet and smooth operation. Safety features include an electronic lid lock, imbalance sensors and a rotor recognition program that automatically limits each rotor to its maximum rated speed. G-force conversion software allows for setting and display of speed in rpm or RCF. Acceleration and deceleration rates can be set at fast or slow.

A continuous flow of ambient air through the rotor chamber of the Z 400 prevents sample temperature from rising significantly above ambient, even during extended runs.

The powerful refrigeration system in the Z 400 K can maintain all of the available rotors at or below 4°C, even at maximum speed.

Z383

The Hermle Z 383 series accepts tubes up to 500 ml in a variety of swing out and angle rotors. In addition, the centrifuges will accept a variety of high speed angle rotors for tubes up to 85 ml. High speed capabilities and large capacity rotors make the Z 383 and Z 383 K the ultimate in intelligent centrifuges.

The Z 383 series operating system is based on advanced, easy to use microprocessor control and rotor recognition. Feedback systems automatically limit each rotor to its rated maximum speed. A centrifugal radius correction function compensates for various tubes, adapters and inserts so that an extremely accurate g-value is calculated and displayed. The hybrid control panel combines modern microprocessor control and easy turn knobs. All parameters are entered with knobs while their values are displayed digitally. Repetitive runs are simple - just press the start key. Up to ten programs can be stored in memory and recalled

Z513

These large capacity Hermle centrifuges offer a flexible system of rotors and adapters to accommodate nearly every standard tube found in the laboratory as well as microplates, blood bags and oil test tubes. High speed angle and microplate rotors and large capacity swing-out rotors make the Z 513 and Z 513 K a valuable addition to any high throughput laboratory.

Both the ambient Z 513 and refrigerated Z 513 K feature a brushless motor, microprocessor control and an ergonomic control panel that combines easy-turn knobs with large digital displays. Both preset and actual speed and temperature are displayed simultaneously. Coarse and fine adjustment knobs allow exact speed values to be easily and quickly set in either rpm or g-force. The g-force conversion program with radius correction ensures that the correct speed is reached.

Ten complete programs can be stored in memory and recalled at the touch of a button. Programs include all parameters necessary for a run including time, temperature, speed/RCF, braking intensity and rotor type. An imbalance sensor shuts down operation of the centrifuge in the case of an improperly loaded rotor while the rotor recognition system limits each rotor to its rated maximum speed, regardless of the speed set.
