PYSER-SGI Evolution® Portable Scientific Microscopes

The Evolution® microscopes bring all the features and performance of a full size microscope into a convenient, lightweight, hand sized instrument. Ideal for the medical professional, field operative, forensic scientist or mobile laboratory, the Evolution® is superbly engineered in Japan. The microscopes have a robust, die cast body and metal parts to ensure it withstands the rigours of field use.

Brightfield, polarisation and phase contrast versions are available and all optical alignment is set before leaving the factory. Powered by 2 x AA batteries or the 3V power supply that is part of the package, the Evolution® microscopes have three long working objectives, LED illumination, carry case and shoulder strap. A mechanical x-y stage and coloured filters are available as options.

The two models comprise the following:

• Die cast aluminium body in padded protective case
• Monocular head
• Widefield W10x eyepiece
• Triple nosepiece with long working distance 4x, 10x and 40x objectives for the brightfield version or 4x, Ph10x and Ph20x for phase contrast version
• Open base stage with stage clips
• Built-in condenser in LED battery powered illuminator (2 x AA batteries, 3V universal power supply included)
• Dimensions (including cover): 170 x 210 x 50 mm.
• Weight (including cover): 1.46 Kg.
