TKA Water Treatment Systems for reliable water softener systems

The water softening is based on the well known principle of ion exchange. The knowledge of ion exchange between a solution and solid insoluble substances is based on scientific analyses. This procedure has been used in households, business and industry for more than 50 years.

Cation exchangers are used for this purpose. They exchange their sodium ions for the calcium and magnesium ions (hardness formers) in water. The water softeners are filled with a synthetic resin which has active groups for the exchange. The resin is regenerated with common salt.

TKA Single Water Softener Systems

TKA Single Softening Systems are designed for discontinuous usage. When the ion exchange capacity of the ion exchanger resin is exhausted, regeneration is automatically started. The time at which regeneration is carried out (e.g. always at 1 a.m.) is set according to the quantity required.

Fully automatic control

The local water quality, the daily quantity required and the purpose for which is it used, determine the size and type of regeneration of the water softening system required.

TKA Twin Water Softener Systems

TKA Twin Softening Systems are required when instruments etc. demand a continuous supply of softened water. The two ion exchange containers ensure that softened water is always available. Regeneration is automatically started when the ion exchange capacity of the ion exchanger in use is exhausted.

Time control

The regeneration of the ion exchange resin is carried out at a definite, set time, e.g. every 72 hours at 2 a.m.

Quantity control

The regeneration is carried out after production of a certain quantity of water, which can be individually set.

Quality control

Quality control with hard water sensors ensures a high capacity and reliability. The regeneration is carried out according to the quality.
