Labcold laboratory chest safety freezers with sparkfree interiors are a viable alternative, where space permits, as the temperature rise when the door is opened is less than upright counterparts. All models offer manual defrost as standard for improved temperature stability and protection for small biological samples and also have door lock as standard. Alarms an be fitted at time of manufacture. Sample racking systems are also available.
