Fire-Reader gel documentation systems
The Fire-Reader is a 1.4 megapixels gel documentation system ideal for documentation, publication and quantification. The very high resolution provides more quantification data as the image contains more details. The Fire-Reader has 16-bit performance (65,536 grey levels) as compared with 12-bit competitor systems. The dynamic range (4.8 OD) describes the ratio between the maximum and minimum measurable light intensities. Light measurements are translated into digital values with precision measured by the bit depth. The Fire-Reader extended dynamic range provides for more quantification data.

Create vibrant images: Enhance your image with the extensive and readily available set of tools such as multiple colour channels, cropping and image additions
Need to quantify or measure? Just add a calibration marker for reference or measure the volumes to determine the quantity with the simple 1-2-3 approach

Powerful:UVIband analysis packages include many special features such as two alternative methods for correction of local and global gel distortions e.g. a ‘smile’ or ‘frown’ across the gel.

User friendly: Every aspect of UVIband is designed with ease of use in mind. This includes the very first step of searching for an image to analyse which is facilitated by the ability to choose the file from a gallery of ‘thumbnail’ images
Flexible: Attractive as it may sound, so-called ‘One Step’ analysis places excessive reliance on automation, resulting , in the best case, in inaccurate data, and in the worst, in totally irrevevant data from your image!
