Progen Scientific can supply the CRUMA portable fume hoods designed in compliance with the standards: BS 7258, EN ISO 9001:2000, AFNOR NF X 15-211 (Class II), CSA Z 316.5, EN-1822, EN-779 and EN-141.

Features of CRUMA ductless fume hoods for gases:

Choice of Filters for the CRUMA Ductless Fume Hoods

• Type A: ideal for ketones, ethers, alcohols, cyclic solvents. It may also be used for some inorganic acids provided they are in low proportion as the activated carbon is not impregnated and any excess of acid could damage it

NOTE: Filter A for use in G hoods and Filter AD for use in GS hoods

• Type BE: ideal for inorganic acids and bases as well as volatile compounds of sulphur such as H 2S, H 2SO 4, SO 3. Can be used with organic vapours as the activated carbon is impregnated with metallic compounds and neutralising salts.

NOTE: Filter BE for use in G hoods and Filter BED for use in GS hoods

• Type F: ideal for formaldehyde and derivatives, as well as organic compounds. The carbon is impregnated with Cu and it should never be used with organic acids.

NOTE: Filter F for use in G hoods and Filter FD for use in GS hoods

• Type K: ideal for NH 3 and amines. Also good for organic compounds. Impregnated with metallic complexes salts

NOTE: Filter K for use in G hoods and Filter KD for use in GS hoods

• Type G: specific for radioactive iodine and organic iodine compounds. Includes a HEPA filter for solids (ref. Filter D)

NOTE: Filter G can only be used is GS hoods

• Type M: specific for Hg (Mercury). It should be fitted with a HEPA filter for solids (ref. Filter D)

NOTE: Filter M can only be used in the GS hoods

• Filter D: The designation D indicates a HEPA absolute filter class H14 (EN-1822 standard) is fitted as a prefilter below the activated carbon filter required for applications that generate solids and/or aerosols

Modular units: All CRUMA fume hoods can be joined to form multiple units

Movilair: The MOVILAIR portable trolley can be used to easily re-locate any of the CRUMA fume hoods and consist of:

• Structure made from 2mm. steel plate with acid resistant polymerised Epoxy coating
• A tray inside the trolley divides the useful space in two, forming a practical shelf and allowing work while seated
• Transparent polymethyl methacrylate 8mm. walls, highly resistant to acids, fire and knocks
• Transport trolley with 4 wheels (200 Kg. max.). Two of them with a locking device to ensure stability at all times

CRUMA Ductless Powder Weighing Stations

Because of their special handling characteristics, all CRUMA negative pressure powder weighing stations are fitted with a high efficiency HEPA filter. Apart from accurate ventilation and optimum visibility, this powder weighing station is specially designed to guarantee the comfort and safety of the user while manipulating products in its interior.

The powder weighing station version is applicable to the whole range of CRUMA fume hoods with filters offering the powder weighing station that best suits the customer specific needs. All models can also be fitted to the MOVILAIR support trolley for portability. The main specification difference is in the 'air renewals per minute e.g. the CRUMA 870P has 8.4 air renewals per minute. The powder weighing fume hoods versions have a 'P' suffix

CRUMA Ductless Fume Hood for Education

CRUMA offers a specially designed fume hood which includes al the safety and protection systems required for professional applications. In addition, this fume hood is fitted with a 15mm. thick transparent polymethyl methylacrylate rear wall that allows teachers and other students to see how the work is carried out inside the hood from any angle. Request for the optional transparent rear wall.
