Falc Series MM heating mantles

MM heating mantles were developed by Falc on the basis of long years of experience. Features include steel housings, oven coated with acidproof epoxy paint; semi-rigid structure that fits flask shape drastically reducing risk of flask breakage; ceramic fibre thermal insulation; temperature control through a graduated thermoregulator. All models are provided with ON/OFF switch with relevant green light.

Falc Series MA heating mantles - for large volumes

Falc attached great importance to safety by developing the MA mantles for large flasks, provided with liquid recovery system, should flask accidentally break. The housing and internal calottes are completely made of stainless steel and covered with glassfibre cloth.

Heaters are accommodated in a ceramic fibre block, to make maximum use of the generated heat, while reducing outside wall temperature to a minimum. Temperature is controlled by a graduated thermoregulator. MA mantles are fitted with an ON/OFF switch with relevant green light.

Falc Series MF heating mantles - with stirring

Falc developed these compact stirring / heating mantles after years of experience in order to heat and stir flasks simultaneously or separately. These heating mantles comply with the European Safety Standards and feature a cylindrical body in steel, painted with acidproof epoxy paint. Heaters are built in a ceramic fibre block and the body is fitted with an aluminium calotte, covered with glass fibre cloth, which insulates the flask very well, even in the case of accidental flask breakage.

MF mantles are fitted with an ON/OFF switch with relevant green light, a graduated thermoregulator for temperature adjustment and control with a yellow light. A step electronic converter regulates the rpm. speed control with green indicator light of the stirring function. All MF models are fitted with a rod clamp on the rear.

Falc Series MQ heating mantles - rigid

MQ mantles were developed by Falc in compliance with the latest European Safety Standards. They feature completely new characteristics and a new inclined front panel for easy adjustment and display. The housing is in plate steel, oven coated with acidproof epoxy paint and the heaters are built in a ceramic fibre block. The device is fitted with an aluminium calotte covered with fibreglass cloth and with a bottom hole for fluid collection in case of a flask breaking. A threaded M8 hole is fitted on the back of the mantle for support rod insertion.

MQ mantles are fitted with an ON/OFF switch with relevant green light and a thermostat with fluid expansion graduated probe for temperature control, which ensures temperature accuracy.

Falc Series MS heating mantles - safety

The MS heating mantles were developed by Falc in compliance with CEI Safety Standards. They feature entirely new characteristics such as square housing with EX validated, flameproof distributing box placed on the heater side. These heaters are provided with outer cases and calottes in welded and sealed steel, which ensure maximum insulation of the electric components. Outer parts are oven coated with acidproof epoxy paint. The heaters are built in a fibre ceramic block covered by a steel calotte with fibreglass cloth protection.

Control boxes are connected to heaters by an insulated and sealed cord of about 2 metre, so that the user can safely operate the device from a distance. PVC control boxes with transparent and tight flap door comply with IP 55 Standard and feature an ON/OFF switch, whose green light indicates heater connection to network. Temperature control and adjustment is via a digital microprocessor.

These heaters comply with CEI Standard 62-25 and with European Standards IEC 62D - VVG 5 - (segratariat) 8 - 1997. All electrical components are IMQ validated.

The models below are identical to those above but have double probes, one internal and one external, to control the actual temperature. Probes in stainless steel with 3 mm. diameter and 230 mm. long.

Falc Series BE and BE-S heating mantles - multiposition

Multiposition BE heating mantles feature the same reliability as the Series MA heating mantles. Their housing is in 18/8 stainless steel; the thermoregulation of each position is carried out by bi-metallic graduated thermostats, so that it is possible to operate many positions at different temperatures or one position only. Each nest cavity is fitted with a safety aluminium calotte and relevant cover. Fibreglass cloth insulation prevents inside liquid penetration in case of flask breakage. A further advantage is that not only are they safe but the heating units can be easily replaced. Each position is provided with a steel rod 10 mm. diameter x 500 mm. long.

BE-S Series models below are identical but with increased heating power

Falc KLH Series - multiposition for Kjeldahl flasks

Independent positions for distillation and oxidation with easy change from one function to the other; gently press flask downwards for rapid changing from distillation to oxidation and vice versa. Temperature regulation is by bimetallic step thermoregulators.

Maximum temperature of 450oC is ideal for oxidation; for distillation, simply rotate the thermoregulator knob to the required temperature value. The units is supplied with a stainless steel frame consisting of a vertical rod for each position and a cross rod linking all vertical rods. Also supplied are clips for spherical joints, clips for pipes, flask holders and two pipes for cooling water.

Falc Series MBO - soft

These suspension mantles consist of a soft structure without metallic parts, while housings and interiors are in glasswire and glassfibre insulated. They are ideal for suspended heating when traditional console versions can not be used. A handy string allows heater fastening to flask; simply roll it around the bowl. MBO mantles are fitted with a a plug and 1.5 metre cord and with a 3 step power regulator with switch function.

Falc Fibreglass Heating Tapes

Soft and flexible heating tapes in glassfibre. They can be fitted around small diameter tubes. Plug and cord from 0.5 metre are included.

NOTE: Minimum tube winding 20 mm. diameter. In order to avoid heater overheating, connect tapes with a bimetallic, electronic or a head control thermoregulator
