Ex Series Priorclaves
Priorclave EX Laboratory Autoclaves are manufactured with users in remote locations in mind.
Built to the same high standards as the QCS series of top and front loaders on which they are based they feature the same high quality pressure vessels, closure systems and panel work but use a much simplified control system based on discreet components rather than a microprocessor.
Whilst they are extremely effective for media preparation and waste load sterilisation, the simplicity of the control system makes servicing much more straightforward than with more complex microprocessor controls, reducing downtimes in remote locations.
Features include:
- Top and Front Loading models with capacities from 100 to 200 litres
- Operation up to 138oC - 2.4 Bar
- Large diameter chamber giving 20% more loading area than conventional models.
- Quickseal 2 single action door closure system
- Steam generated within the chamber (electrically heated models) - Direct steam heated models available
- Complete with thermocouple entry and test ports
The control panel has staged illumination giving digital readouts of cycle status and the simple to set control panel features adjustable temperature and time that can be viewed simultaneously.
SAFETY
Pressure vessels are manufactured in stainless steel grade 316L and are insurance approved to the European PED 97/23/EC. The autoclaves are manufactured under an ISO 9000 regime and built in accordance with BS2646-1993, BS5500 Cat.3, amongst others.
Safety features include: protective outer safety cover, special safety gate mechanism, which cracks the gasket seal allowing any residual pressure to safely escape. Indication that the contents have cooled to a safe temperature is also included. The unit features a low water level sensor, preventing boil-dry conditions and a safety blow down valve affords further protection.
INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
ELECTRICAL: - Single phase 240V, 50Hz, 30-amp power supply or, if available a three phase 400V 50Hz 15A supply
DRAINAGE: -The single ¾ in vent outlet pipe can be directed to a nearby drain. For make safe processing the discharge should be directed to a sealed discharge system; the system should lead by direct connection to a building drain or catchment tank.
