Model KS1
Solution Warming Cabinets are designed specifically for the warming of sterile fluids and blankets in hospital critical care areas such as operating theatres, renal dialysis, intensive care, accident and emergency and maternity delivery suites.
They are all designed to meet ESCHLE, part 2, exceed the heating and safety requirements of BS5076:1974.
Construction
The outside of these cabinets is fabricated from electroplated mild steel and finished in white powder coated paint. The chamber is made from corrosion resistant stainless steel. The outer door closes positively onto a resilient magnetic gasket. A heatproof toughened inner glass door with magnetic catch allows a clear view of the chamber contents without disturbing the temperature stability.
Even heating throughout the chamber is ensured using low wattage elements which are bonded to the outer surface of the chamber. The element can be expected to have a long life under all normal operating conditions.
Semirigid polyurethane foam insulation moulded under pressure around the chamber, helps ensure stable temperature control and minimises heat loss during use.
Temperature Control
The proportional temperature controller keeps temperature fluctuations to a minimum, and automatically compensates for changes in ambient temperature.
The primary self-resetting over temperature safety cut out is adjusted to prevent the chamber temperature rising more than two degrees above the operating temperature. An secondary non self-resetting over temperature safety cut out disconnects the heaters if the chamber temperature reaches 85°C as required by BS5076:1974. A red warning lamp illuminates when the primary cut out is activited.
Model Range
Several models are available, some with both warm and ambient storage compartments. KS1 and KS2 units are stackable. Models KS1/0 and KS2/0 have one hot compartment for warming items in, and one unheated compartment for storing items at ambeint temperature (KS0). All models can made entirely from stainless steel and be supplied with flush mounting kits if required (both options cost extra).
