Cooled Incubators
We can supply a wide range of cooled incubators from such manufacturers as Velp, Nuve, Leec, Genlab, Leader and Carbolite in a variety of sizes from 50 to 1275 litre capacity. They are usually used in situations where the temperature required is below the ambient temperature but can also be used to heat above the ambient temperature as well.
Standard heating incubators have a lowest temperature from ambient +5°C to +8°C so, for example, if the ambient temperature is 22°C then the lowest temperature the heating incubator will run at is 27°C - 30°C. Therefore is a temperature below this is required then a cooled incubator will be required
The simplest cooled incubators are the Peltier cooled models from Leader which do not have a built-in refrigeration unit and so do not require refrigerants. The minimum temperature they can reach is 8°C below ambient so the ambient temperature affects the minimum temperature.
The cooled incubators which have built-in refrigeration have the following temperature ranges:
Velp: +3°C to +50°C
Nuve: -10°C to +60°C
Leec: 0°C to 50°C; 0°c to 60°C; +5°C to 50°C
Genlab: +2°C to +50°C
Carbolite: 0°C to 60°C
Models with fan circulation will give a more uniform temperature throughout the chamber than those without especially in larger capacity models.
