Hotplate Stirrers

Progen Scientific are UK distributers of Velp, Falc and Clifton hotplate stirrers (stirrer hotplates) in a variety of formats.

Velp hotplate stirrers consist of :

ARE model with 155 mm. diameter aluminium hotplate with maximum temperature of 370°C; the AREX which is similar to the ARE but with the addition of a connection for a digital thermoregulator.

ARED and T.ARE (ARED with timer) models with 180 mm. diameter hotplate for volumes up to 25 litre.

AREC model with 180 x 180 mm. ceramic hotplate with a maximum temperature of 540°C, AREC.X (AREC with connection for a digital thermoregulator) and AREC.T (AREC with timer.

AM4 model four position hotplate stirrer with 155 mm. diameter hotplates, individual control of temperature and stirring speed for each hotplate and a maximum temperature of 370°C.

All models have the high power driving magnet type 'PCM' operated by a mono-phase motor for continuous operation.

Falc hotplate stirrers consist of:

Series F models with 150 mm. diameter aluminium hotplate (or stainless steel model F60S) with maximum temperature of 350°C. The model F70 can be used with a Vertex or digital thermoregulator, the F80 has digital display of temperature and the F100 Maxi has a 210 mm. diameter hotplate which maximum stirring capacity of 30 litre.

Series F90 has a 250 x 250 mm. ceramic glass hotplate and maximum temperature of 500°C.

Series F64 is a multiple position hotplate stirrer with four 150 mm. diameter aluminium hotplates, individual control of temperature and stirring speed and maximum temperature of 350°C.

Clifton hotplate stirrers consist of:

MSH Series with 139 x 139 mm. aluminium hotplates and maximum temperature of 400°C. The MSH-1 has a single hotplate while the MSH-3 has three hotplates with individual control of temperature and stirring speed.

Cerastir Series have either 210 x 210 mm. (Cerastir CH-1 and Cerastir+ CHS-1) or 290 x 290 mm. ceramic hotplate (model Cerastir+ CHS-2) and maxmum temperature of 450°C.
