Cirrus Portable Fume Cabinets

The Cirrus work stations are compact and lightweight yet robust and can be used for a variety of applications in the laboratory.

Fitted with a high quality, low noise fan they will maintain good air velocity and ensure containment is maintained. The unique design of the fan and the filter compartment ensures an even airflow through the filter system providing constant fume capture and a long filter life.

Electrical components are totally isolated from the air stream, and the fan is both brushless and sparkless. so removing any fire hazard with inflammable solvents. The system is fitted with a low airflow indicator to warn the operator if the air velocity is getting low due to filter blockage.

By using reinforced plastics and epoxy coated steel operating surfaces which are resistant to corrosion from aggressive liquids and fumes the life of the system is increased. Fourteen types of filters are available ranging from standard filters through to specialty vapours such as formaldehyde, radioactive iodine and HEPA filters for particulates.

A pre-filter protects the main filter from particulates in the range of 0.5 micron to 2.0 micron. The filters are easy to change and there is an integral light unit.
